If you live in Dallas, you know this city has no shortage of cool things to do for a date night. So, when I stumbled upon COSM Dallas, I immediately put this on my “must-do” list. Thankfully, my husband also noticed this place and asked if this was something we could do to celebrate his birthday. My answer: Of course!
Although we’ve been married for five years, planning date nights like we just met still excites me. Full disclosure: I reached out to COSM and asked if they wanted to help celebrate my husband’s birthday with free tickets to a basketball game in exchange for Instagram content. Thankfully, they said yes. One step closer to the perfect date night and major wife win! Now, let’s get into how it all turned out, shall we?
What Is Cosm?
Cosm is a new entertainment venue dedicated to doing something different with how people experience live events and content. It combines impressive engineering and display technology to create an immersive viewing experience that surrounds the audience. Honestly, I was blown away, and I’m not easily impressed.
What makes Cosm stand out is how they’ve designed the space – the screens wrap around you to make you feel like you’re actually at the event you’re watching. For our date night, we attended the Spurs vs. Lakers NBA game, and the quality of the visuals made it feel surprisingly close to being there in person.
Outside of sports, Cosm venues also host other events ranging from art installations like Cirque du Soleil to music performances.
COSM Dallas Review
Location
Cosm Dallas is located in the Grandscape retail and entertainment area in the Colony off Highway 121. Grandscape is perfect for any date night, with several entertainment and food options. Upon entering the front door, Cosm Dallas is breathtaking, with floor-to-ceiling screens, and you can immediately feel the sports bar energy. When you continue to walk through the venue, navigating to each floor, you feel the arena/stadium energy.
The primary makeup of the venue is its Dome, which has three levels – The Hall, The Hall Club, and the Deck. There’s also a dome area with standing room only. We sat in the Deck ( Dome – Level 3), which was a great spot. The location immersed us entirely in the basketball game as if we were sitting courtside in real life. Even if you aren’t big on sports, you can find a way to enjoy Cosm.
Levels 1 and 2 are also great spots, but if I had to choose, I think the view from Level 2 would be the best. There’s really no bad spot, though.

Cosm Tickets & Cost
Reserved Seating vs. General Admission
The venue itself is well thought out. As I stated above, the seating is arranged so you get a good view from pretty much anywhere. The website says the best way to experience Cosm is through reserved seating inside the Dome, and I couldn’t agree more.
I like having a dedicated space to sit for something as a date night. The reserved seating is an excellent opportunity to talk, order food, and relax with casual conversation. However, general admission works just as fine if you meet a large group or plan a quick meet-up with friends. General admission tickets are first come, first serve, standing room only, but Cosm also provides various indoor seating options.
The venue also includes a large outdoor terrace on the top level, which is great for getting some fresh air and stepping away from the noise inside. These unreserved tickets allow you to explore Cosm with flexible viewing options.
Ticket prices start at $22 per person for General admission and $50 – $110 for reserved seating in the Dome. I also think prices range depending on sporting event but I couldn’t confirm on the website. It is important to note that Dates, Times, and Matchups for games are subject to change. In addition, event times hosted by Cosm may be subject to change due to scheduling conflicts. So that’s something to be aware of before booking.
Food
Although there was not an extensive menu, the food was decent. Think of traditional sports bar/stadium/arena food but a tad more elevated. We ordered and paid for the pizza, brisket nachos, two drinks, and a dessert. (Yes, tickets were free, but we paid for our food).
I wasn’t a fan of the pizza, but we both loved the Brisket nachos, and the drinks were delicious – even my virgin mojito! I mean, Is it even Texas if Brisket isn’t on the menu? We also ordered cookies for dessert, but those were less than stellar. Bummer.
Service
Service at COSM Dallas is the one area where I felt I needed the most help. The Dallas location wasn’t super busy the night we attended the Lakers vs. Spurs game, but we did wait a long time before we received a server to take our order, and the wait time for food was a little long. Also, the servers seemed genuinely confused when delivering food. Unfortunately, at one point, our server disappeared completely, and we had to find another to finish our order for the night.
Cosm Locations
Cosm has locations in Los Angeles and Dallas as of January 2025. They also have plans to open locations in Atlanta and Detroit and will begin production soon. Stay tuned to their website for more locations as well. Someone on Threads mentioned they plan to open 16 locations over the next few years.
Overall Review
Overall, it was a 9/10 experience – only knocking off one point for service.
While it’s definitely a unique setup compared to traditional venues, what’s interesting is how they’re trying to bridge the gap between watching something on screen and being there in person. If you’re curious about new entertainment experiences, it’s worth checking out – just keep in mind it’s different from your typical movie theater or sports bar setup.
Overall, I vote to put this on your list for your next date night with your bae. ❤️ My husband loved the experience and now wants to go back to experience a football game. If you go, let me know how you like it and enjoy!
